How do you as a youth minister even begin to recover from being the leader on a trip where something like this happens to a kid in your group? How horrible for the family, the youth group and the church.

and that's why there are 2 security fences to the area below the batman ride. i know it seems insensitive, but seriously... he jumped 2 fences... 2 fences! and still thought it was a great idea to walk towards a roller coaster that goes 50 mph...
i really believe that this a side effect from a culture that has a bloodlust for being entertained... he was at a theme park for goodness sakes... and that wasn't enough of a rush, he had to jump 2 fences for a little more excitement...
i feel bad for his family, i feel bad for his church. i feel bad for the other kid who jumped the fences with him because you know he will blame himself for the rest of his life.
